Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a Quality Assurance lead for engine quality and process excellence. You will audit products and processes, implement CAPA, and drive PPAP/APQP compliance across assembly and testing lines.

You will coordinate with production, design, supplier quality, and SCM to resolve concerns and reduce COPQ. The role involves leading a small team (3–4 associates), performing IQA-related analyses, and visiting vehicle plants and dealerships to ensure quality standards

Qualifications

• BE in Mechanical or Automobile engineering.
• 5–10 years in the automobile industry.
• Experience with PPAP/APQP and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Own engine build and outgoing quality.
• Conduct product and process audits and close non-conformances.
• Perform containment analysis and countermeasures at assembly IQA and testing.

Job description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Responsible for build and outgoing quality of engines
• Responsible for conducting product and process audits in assembly and testing (Process audit , torque audit , pokayoke audit , Test bed audit , CTQ parameter audit , action plan sustenance audit) and closure of non conformance with systemic action
• Responsible for concerns analysis and effective counter measure (ICA and PCA) at the assembly IQA station/online , testing, user plant , field using quality tools
• Coordination with production , Supplier quality , design , SCM , maintenance team for concern resolution
• Weekly publishing of IQA station rework/rejection quality report with action plan
• Responsible for reduction of COPQ
• Lead for Quick Concern Resolution Team (QCRT) and concern closure
• Responsible for effective implementation of SPC on shop floor
• Responsible for planning and conducting the MSA in assembly
• Involvement in new projects to ensure the quality requirements as per as per PPAP/APQP and fulfillment of key deliverable
• Visit to different locations for concerns resolution at Vehicle Plants & Mahindra dealerships.
• Team management of 3 to 4 associates
