NewSpace Research and Technologies is seeking a Manager - SCM (Indirect Procurement) to lead sourcing, negotiations, and supplier management across non-production spend categories in Bengaluru. The role focuses on developing strategic approaches to IT, marketing, facilities, and professional services while driving cost savings and value.

You will oversee end-to-end indirect procurement lifecycles, collaborate with stakeholders, and mentor a team to achieve measurable savings and policy

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in SCM, Business Admin, Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 8–12 years in SCM, specifically Indirect Procurement/Strategic Sourcing.
• Managerial or team-lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement indirect procurement strategies to optimize spend and drive value.
• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives, including market research, RFP/RFQ management, and evaluations.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and drive process improvements.
• Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders and manage supplier performance against KPIs/SLAs.
• Draft, negotiate, and finalize contracts in collaboration with legal; ensure policy adherence.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager - SCM (Indirect Procurement) to oversee and optimize our indirect sourcing and procurement operations. In this role, you will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving cost-saving initiatives across all non-production spend categories (e.g., IT, marketing, facilities, professional services). The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, exceptional negotiation capabilities, and a proven track record of managing end-to-end indirect procurement lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

• Develop and execute comprehensive indirect procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals to optimize spend and drive value.
• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives, including market research, Request for Proposal (RFP/RFQ) management, and commercial evaluations.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
• Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders to understand their business requirements and demand pipelines.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitor vendor performance against KPIs/SLAs, and conduct regular business reviews.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for vendor performance issues, driving swift and effective resolutions.

Contract Management & Compliance

• Draft, negotiate, and finalize complex commercial contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) in partnership with the legal team.
• Ensure strict adherence to company procurement policies, financial guidelines, and relevant regulatory compliance.

Analytics & Reporting

• Analyze spend data and market trends to provide actionable insights and monthly financial reporting to leadership.
• Monitor budget utilization across indirect spend categories and forecast future procurement needs.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 8-12 years of experience in supply chain management, specifically focused on Indirect Procurement / Strategic Sourcing.
• Prior experience in a managerial or team-lead capacity is preferred.

Technical & Soft Skills

• Deep knowledge of indirect procurement categories, strategic sourcing methodologies, and contract law.
• Advanced negotiation techniques and commercial acumen.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software/e-sourcing tools.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis and MS Excel.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively influence stakeholders at all levels.
