About DESRI

DESRI (formerly D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments) is a market-leading owner and operator of renewable energy projects throughout the United States. We have acquired or developed approximately 13 gigawatts of contracted capacity across a portfolio of over 85 renewable energy projects in 25 states.

About the role
We are looking for a resourceful and driven professional to join DESRI, based out of the firm's Hyderabad, India office. The successful candidate will be a part of a small, inclusive, highly-skilled team responsible for supporting DESRI's portfolio of wind, solar and battery projects in an agile environment that values collaboration, thoughtful problem solving, and attention to detail.

What you'll do

• Work with external law firms and consultants on ongoing regulatory compliance obligations, including coordination of annual and periodic filings and related documentation.
• Assist with administration and maintenance of compliance policies, internal certifications, and regulatory tracking.
• Develop and manage legal department processes, including workflow coordination, intake procedures, and outside counsel engagement.
• Track and improve oversight of legal spending and vendor relationships.
• Responsible for day-to-day compliance operations, entity formation, corporate governance documentation, and KYC-related matters.
• Serve as a key operational resource within the Legal team and coordinate across internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in legal operations, corporate governance, investment advisory compliance, or transactional work.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
