Job summary

DESRI in Hyderabad, India is seeking a seasoned Manager – Legal Operations & Strategic Initiatives to lead regulatory compliance, governance, and process improvement. You will coordinate with external counsel, manage budgets, and drive cross-functional initiatives within the legal team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in legal operations or a related consulting/management role, excellent communication, and the ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in legal operations, corporate governance, investment advisory compliance, or transactional work.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
• Experience building or improving processes within a legal, compliance or consultancy function.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with external law firms and consultants on ongoing regulatory compliance obligations, including coordination of annual and periodic filings and related documentation.
• Assist with administration and maintenance of compliance policies, internal certifications, and regulatory tracking.
• Develop and manage legal department processes, including workflow coordination, intake procedures, and outside counsel engagement.
• Track and improve oversight of legal spending and vendor relationships.
• Responsible for day-to-day compliance operations, entity formation, corporate governance documentation, and KYC-related matters.
• Serve as a key operational resource within the Legal team and coordinate across internal stakeholders.

About The Role

We are looking for a resourceful and driven professional to join DESRI, based out of the firm’s Hyderabad, India office. The successful candidate will be a part of a small, inclusive, highly skilled team responsible for supporting DESRI’s portfolio of wind, solar and battery projects in an agile environment that values collaboration, thoughtful problem solving, and attention to detail.

What You'll Do
