Qualifications

• Qualified LLB with 5-7 years of PQE.
• Experience in a reputed law firm and/or in‑house role with exposure to corporate advisory, transactions, and compliance.
• Experience handling cross‑border contracts and complex commercial negotiations.
• Analytical and strategic mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive end-to-end contracting lifecycle, drafting agreements, reviewing templates, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely closure.
• Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of vendor, distribution, licensing, SaaS/tech, and strategic partnership contracts.
• Provide proactive legal advisory on new business initiatives, product launches, and strategic projects; assess and mitigate regulatory risks.
• Advise on corporate governance, regulatory and compliance under Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI, and other laws.
• Support corporate transactions including M&A, joint ventures, investments, and restructurings.
• Partner with HR on employment matters, drafting/reviewing employment agreements, and updating internal policies.
• Coordinate with external counsel for due diligence and complex advisory.

About the Role

We are looking for a sharp, business-minded legal professional to join our Legal Team as Manager - Legal. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of law, business, and strategy - shaping key transactions, driving compliance excellence, and enabling the company’s growth journey. You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, acting as both a legal advisor and a business enabler.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the end-to-end contracting lifecycle, including drafting agreements from scratch, reviewing and redlining counterparty templates, leading negotiations, and ensuring timely closure aligned with business objectives.
• Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor, distribution, licensing, SaaS/technology, and strategic partnership contracts.
• Provide proactive legal advisory on new business initiatives, product launches, and strategic projects, ensuring legal and regulatory risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated prior to go‑live.
• Advise on corporate governance, regulatory, and compliance matters under the Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations, and other applicable laws.
• Support and execute corporate transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, investments, and corporate restructurings.
• Act as the legal partner to the People (HR) team on employment‑related matters, including drafting and reviewing employment agreements, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations, and developing, updating, and implementing internal employment policies.
• Partner closely with business teams to anticipate legal risks and develop pragmatic, business‑aligned solutions.
• Engage, manage, and coordinate with external counsel for specialized matters, including due diligence and complex advisory.
• Monitor regulatory developments, interpret implications for the business, and proactively recommend policy and process enhancements.
• Drive continuous improvement in contract lifecycle management, compliance monitoring frameworks, and overall risk management processes.
