Job summary

Masai is seeking a dynamic Legal & Compliance Manager in Bengaluru to guide corporate law, compliance, and risk management. The role demands 5-8 years in corporate legal functions, strong drafting, negotiation, and strategic advisory capabilities across regulatory environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM).
• 5-8 years of experience in corporate legal roles, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience working with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements, including vendor contracts, NDAs, service agreements, and employment contracts.
• Ensure the company complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Assist in handling legal disputes, litigation, and arbitration, coordinating with external legal counsel as needed.
• Identify potential legal risks and provide proactive solutions to mitigate them.
• Support board meetings, maintain statutory records, and ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements.
