Qualifications

  • MBA/MSW with specialisation in HR or Organizational Psychology.
  • 12–15 years of experience in a manufacturing organisation is advantageous.
  • Minimum 5+ years in an L&D or Talent Management domain.
  • Ability to align people development initiatives with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive culture transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate development needs at function, job-role, and organisational levels.
  • Design and develop eLearning, face-to-face and blended learning materials.
  • Deliver Learning Programs and measure ROI.
  • Maintain monthly dashboards and MIS for management review.
  • Assist in Succession Planning, Career Planning, Leadership Development, and Employee Engagement.
  • Support Performance Management System and Talent Reviews.
  • Create personalised development plans for High Potentials.

Job Description - Manager, Learning & Development and Talent Management

Location: Chennai with travel to Gujarat plants.Reporting to: Head HR (Corporate).

Role Purpose

To drive Learning & Development and Talent Management for ACIL, this role requires the ability to work collaboratively and independently.

A) Learning & Development
  • Evaluate development needs periodically at the function, job-role, and organisational level.
  • Leveraging multi-component learning solutions and support frameworks to embed learning, ensuring optimum results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working closely with managers within the business to ensure that key stakeholder relationships are developed and maintained, learning business needs are met, and L&D is providing a measurable partnership that adds value.
  • Conceptualising, designing and developing eLearning, face-to-face and blended learning materials that are both engaging and innovative.
  • Delivering Learning Programs as per the business needs
  • Defining measurement strategies that link the L&D program to tangible benefits and return on investment.
  • Drive E-Learning Philosophy within the business
  • Design development plans that are aligned to the seniority in the organisation.
  • Design Content as Development Plans and trends identified using the right training methodologies and instructional designs, considering unique content and participants.
  • Design Training Calendars.
  • Maintain the monthly dashboards & MIS for management presentation. Monitor and update dashboards for regular monitoring by all the key stakeholders.
B) Talent Management

Assist the Human Resource Head in Talent Management objectives with a focus on Succession Planning, Career Planning, Leadership Development, Employee Engagement, Performance Management System, Talent Reviews, High Potential Talent Development, Talent Mobility & Early Careers.

Performance Management:
  • Ensuring efficiency & effectiveness of the initiatives at an organisational level.
  • Strategic alignment of KRAs with organizational objectives, promoting strategic execution.
  • Objectively assess performance based on measurable outcomes by linking KRAs to KPIs.
  • Develop & manage appraisal systems aimed at fair and accurate assessments.
  • Conduct performance reviews & feedback to support continuous improvement to help achieve performance goals.
Talent Management:
  • Assist in the creation of personalised development plans for High Potentials, ensuring continuity in key roles across the organisation.
  • Talent assessment for future roles and creating a robust leadership pipeline through continuous assessment and development to ensure seamless succession of critical roles.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :

a. Tracks how well employees remember and apply trained concepts on the job.

b. Course Completion Rate: Calculates the percentage of enrolled staff who successfully finish a training program.

c. Employee Satisfaction (CSAT): Gather feedback on course quality, relevance, and overall learning experience.

d. Internal Mobility & Promotion Rate: Monitors how training prepares employees for higher-level roles within the company.

e. Training ROI: Compares the financial cost of training against productivity gains or saved expenses

f. Audit closure effectiveness

Qualification & Experience
  • MBA / MSW with specialisation in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology
  • 12–15 years of experience in a manufacturing organisation will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5+ years in an L&D or Talent Management domain.
  • Understanding and alignment of people development initiatives with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders on desired culture transformation with an eye on the desired outcome.
