Responsibilities
- Job Purpose: To drive the development, execution and management of Air India's interline and codeshare partnerships, in-line with Air India's alliance strategy and compliance standards.
- Partnership Support
- Take active ownership in maintaining and developing relationships with airline partners.
- Agreement Management
- Under the guidance of the Head - Interline / Codeshare, take the lead in negotiating and managing interline and codeshare agreements, ensuring they are aligned with Air India's alliance strategy and compliant with international regulations.
- Periodically review the agreements to ensure they are in-line with the current market practices and Air India's alliance strategy.
- Operational Coordination
- Aid in the coordination between the Pricing and Revenue Management teams to implement effective pricing strategies.
- Actively work with Digital & IT, Network, Sales and Revenue Management teams to implement the codeshare agreements.
- Performance Analysis
- Monitor and report on key financial and operational metrics related to partnerships, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
- Compliance and Evaluation
- Evaluate the viability of existing partnerships and ensure that all agreements are up-to-date and comply with regulatory standards.

Key Interfaces
Internal Interfaces
- Head - Interline/Codeshare
- Directly report and own specific interline / codeshare discussions under guidance.
- Provide support and updates on project progress.
- Revenue Management and Pricing
- Syndicate on pricing discussions with partners to ensure alignment with Air India's fare / pricing strategy.
- Coordinate efforts to integrate strategic alliances with revenue optimization initiatives.
- Marketing and Loyalty Teams
- Work collaboratively to leverage partnerships within marketing campaigns and loyalty programs.
- Legal
- Ensure legal compliance in contract drafting and negotiations.
External Interfaces
- Partner Airlines
- Assist in managing relationships and negotiating terms for interlines and codeshares.
- Regulatory Authorities
- Ensure all partnership agreements and operations comply with applicable laws.
Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Commerce, Engineering, Business Administration, Aviation Management, International Relations, or a related field.
Minimum Requirement
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in consulting, investment banking or relevant experience in aviation industry (airport ops / ticketing, airline partnership management, revenue management etc.).
- 5+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking or relevant experience in airline environment with exposure to revenue management and/or airline partnership management roles.
