Job summary

The Corporate Institute is seeking a qualified accounting professional to manage end-to-end accounting for Airport Charges, Engineering payables and Fixed Assets. The role requires accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and cross-functional collaboration with operations and audit teams.

You will oversee asset capitalization, depreciation, monthly closes, vendor reconciliations, and FEMA-compliant payments in foreign currency, while driving process improvements with SAP or comparable ERP

Qualifications

• Understanding of engineering payable and fixed asset accounting principles.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Experience in reviewing audit schedules and closures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Airport Charges, Engineering and fixed asset accounting including invoice booking, asset code creation, and contract review.
• Lead automation in Airport Charges, Engineering and FA accounting.
• Conduct asset verification and reconciliation per policy.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register and update asset location, scrapping, sale.
• Capitalize assets and compute depreciation per accounting standards.
• Ensure monthly closure of books to financial timelines.
• Track capital advances and ensure closure.
• Support audit preparedness with schedules and resolution of audit points.

Job Purpose

To manage end-to-end accounting processes related to Airport Charges, Engineering payables and Fixed Assets Accounting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The role includes vendor coordination, audit readiness, tax compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Airport Charges, Engineering and Fixed Asset Management

• Oversee Airport Charges, Engineering and fixed asset accounting including invoice booking, asset code creation, and contract review
• Leading the Automation in Airport Charges, Engineering and FA accounting
• Conduct physical verification and reconciliation of assets per company policy
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register, update based on department feedback (e.g., asset location, scrapping, sale)
• Capitalize assets and compute depreciation as per accounting standards
• Ensure monthly closure of books according to financial timelines
• Track capital advances and ensure closure
• Support audit preparedness through schedule creation and resolution of audit points

Vendor Coordination & Controls

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding issues
• Ensure internal controls are in place and properly documented
• Ensuring FEMA compliance with respect to payments / receipts in Foreign currency
• Maintain tax compliance (Direct and Indirect) relevant to engineering and asset purchases

Reporting & Business Support

• Prepare regular MIS and analytics reports for leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and data accuracy
• Support strategic decision-making with financial insight
