Job summary

Lupin in India seeks a senior HR professional with deep expertise in industrial relations and statutory compliance. The role focuses on maintaining harmonious employee relations, handling legal matters, and overseeing contractual workforce governance at the Mandideep plant.

The incumbent will coordinate with government bodies, manage grievances, drive apprenticeship programs under NATS/NAPS, and lead PMS and behavioral training initiatives for staff and workers.

Qualifications

  • 15 to 20 years of HR experience.
  • Exposure to factory/industrial relations and statutory compliance.
  • Experience in handling legal/court matters related to Labour/Industrial cases.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain harmonious industrial relations and address employee grievances effectively.
  • Coordinate with Advocates and internal stakeholders for legal/compliance matters; manage documentation and submissions.
  • Oversee contractual management and compliance for factory labour and vendor contracts; payroll and attendance for contractual workers.

  1. Factory Compliance / Statutory Compliance

      1. Ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements at the plant level, keeping records current and audit-ready.
    • Ensure settlement of PF pension cases with the RPFC, including follow-ups and closure of pending matters.
    • Track regulatory updates and implement required process or documentation changes in a timely manner.
    • Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure timely filings, renewals, submissions, and compliance responses.
  2. 2) Industrial Relations (IR) / Employee Relations (ER)

      1. Maintain harmonious industrial relations and address employee grievances through structured resolution and communication.
    • Support implementation of the site’s employee relations philosophy and strategy, ensuring consistency and fairness.
    • Handle legal/court cases (Labour / Industrial / High Court) by coordinating with advocates and internal stakeholders; manage documentation and timely submissions.
    • Manage disciplinary matters, including drafting advisory, warning, show-cause, and charge-sheet letters and coordinating domestic enquiry processes as required.
  3. 3) Contractual Management and Compliance

      1. Oversee compliance for factory and vendor contracts, ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are met for contract labour engagement.
    • Coordinate with vendors and their supervisors for deployment of contractual workers as per operational requirements.
    • Support hiring/onboarding of contractual workers and ensure availability across shifts as per budgeted headcount.
    • Manage attendance for contractual employees through Spectra – CLMS and ensure accuracy for wage processing and compliance.
  4. 4) Engagement of Apprentices (NATS & NAPS)

    1. Recruit Graduate and ITI Apprentices as per quota allotted under the Apprentice Act and applicable schemes (NATS/NAPS).
    • Coordinate with concerned departments to plan and fill apprentice positions based on work allocation and learning requirements.
    • Coordinate with BOAT and ITI officials and complete all documentation and compliance formalities related to apprentice engagement.
  5. 5) Welfare Activities

    1. Coordinate distribution of safety shoes and uniforms for company staff and workmen, ensuring availability and proper records.
    • Coordinate distribution of safety shoes for contractual employees as per safety norms and site requirements.
    • Support employee mediclaim facilitation and coordinate with the TPA for claim settlement as per policy limits and documentation requirements.
  6. 6) PMS & Behavioral Training (Staff & Workmen)

    1. Complete annual PMS/appraisal activities for staff and workers and ensure timely issue of increment/confirmation letters as applicable.
    • Plan and organize behavioral training programs for staff and workers to support capability building and on-the-job improvement.
