Job summary

Captain Tractors is seeking a Lead Homologation & Validation Engineer to head end-to-end tractor homologation, validation and certification for new and existing platforms. You will design strategies and roadmaps, coordinate with testing agencies and ensure compliance with CMVR, AIS, BIS, CPCB.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tractor homologation, validation and certification for new and existing platforms.
• Develop homologation strategies, validation plans, test schedules and certification roadmaps.
• Ensure compliance with CMVR, AIS, BIS, CPCB and applicable regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with ARAI, ICAT, CFMTTI and other testing/certification agencies.
• Oversee performance, safety, durability, emission, noise, braking, PTO, hydraulic and electrical testing.
• Lead prototype, pre-production and field validation activities.
• Review test results and drive RCA, corrective actions and issue closure.
• Manage type approval, homologation dossiers, test reports and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with R&D, Design, Testing, Quality, Manufacturing, Product Management and Service teams.
• Monitor regulatory changes and provide inputs for NPD, product upgrades and engineering changes.
• Identify validation/certification risks and ensure timely project closure.
• Lead and mentor the Homologation & Validation team and report progress to senior management.
