Job Title: Manager, Global Process Excellence

Location: Ahmedabad, India

Role Purpose

The Manager, Global Process Excellence is a hands-on transformation leadership role within the Transformation team, responsible for driving and executing the modernization of Source-to-Pay processes, technology, and ways of working across SAP ECC 6.0, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Ariba (SAP Business Network). Reporting to the Associate Director, Global Process Excellence, this role owns the day-to-day execution of transformation workstreams translating the global roadmap into deliverable outcomes ; while ensuring seamless service delivery to the business during the transition.

The role requires direct, working-level involvement in SAP transformation delivery (not solely oversight): partnering with IT, functional, and BPO teams on configuration, testing, data migration, cutover, and hypercare activities, while building strong relationships across Procurement, Accounts Payable, IT, Shared Services, and external suppliers/partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Transformation Execution: Drive and personally execute assigned workstreams of the Global Transformation Agenda, partnering with Global/Zone teams, Global Service Excellence, and Global GBS Capabilities to deliver measurable business impact.
• SAP ECC to S/4HANA Migration: Provide hands-on execution support across migration phases ; requirements, process design, configuration validation, data migration support, integration/UAT testing, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization support.
• SAP Ariba / SAP Business Network: Lead hands-on execution of Ariba modules (e.g., sourcing, contracts, procurement, supplier network) implementation and optimization, including supplier enablement, catalog/PO configuration validation, and network transaction troubleshooting.
• Roadmap Delivery: Support development and execution of the 3-year Transformation Roadmap (Expansion, Digital, and Process Transformation initiatives) in collaboration with stakeholders, technology partners, and BPO partners.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead the Continuous Improvement (CI) framework across the Source-to-Pay process, identifying opportunity areas and partnering with Global GBS Capabilities to execute and deliver value.
• Technology Optimization: Drive platform optimization and utilization (SAP ECC/S4HANA/Ariba and adjacent digital/AI tools) in partnership with Global Functions and the Zones.
• Risk, Controls & Compliance: Manage transformation-related risk, compliance, and access controls in collaboration with internal audit/controls teams, including access/role adherence and issue remediation.
• Governance & Reporting: Define and track transformation KPIs, run operating reviews, manage escalations, and report progress to the Associate Director and senior stakeholders.
• Change Management: Drive adoption, communications, training, and supplier/user experience improvements associated with SAP transformation releases.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and manage global relationships across Procurement, AP, IT, Services, and external suppliers/partners to ensure scalable processes that meet service standards and business outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

• 15+ years of combined Operational and Transformation experience, including exposure to global or regional roles.
• Proven, hands-on experience personally driving and executing SAP ECC 6.0 to S/4HANA transformation and SAP Ariba / SAP Business Network trouble shooting / Implementation this is a working, execution-level requirement, not solely a governance/oversight requirement.
• Practical exposure to NextGen AI-enabled solutions within Source-to-Pay / Procurement technology landscapes is an advantage.
• Strong process management skills: standardization, optimization, documentation, controls, and scalable service delivery.
• Governance & KPI expertise: ability to define metrics, run operating reviews, manage escalations, and ensure compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire global/virtual teams, including driving operational excellence with offshore BPO providers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to executive leadership.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to use data-driven insights to inform decisions and drive improvements (root cause analysis, defect reduction, cycle-time improvement).
• Ability to influence without authority at team and stakeholder levels; strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills across functions and levels.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or an advanced degree is a plus.
