The Role
We are seeking an experienced, detail‑oriented finance professional to lead the Group Consolidation and Financial Reporting function. The role involves preparing consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with Ind AS, driving governance, managing statutory audits, and partnering with finance teams across global entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, segment reporting, notes, and disclosures in accordance with Ind AS.
- Review, analyze, and post consolidation adjustments, including elimination entries.
- Manage accurate elimination of investments and inter‑company transactions across subsidiaries.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconcilations of inter‑company balances.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial reports for senior management.
- Support accounting for acquisitions, disposals, business combinations, and transfers.
- Coordinate with finance teams across global subsidiaries to ensure compliance with Group accounting policies.
- Prepare the Annual Report and coordinate XBRL filings to meet statutory requirements.
Audit
- Partner with statutory auditors during quarterly and annual financial audits.
- Proactively resolve audit observations and close outstanding audit matters.
- Ensure clean audit reports for overseas subsidiaries with no significant qualifications.
- Review statutory auditor’s presentations and reports submitted to the Audit Committee.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
Governance and Analysis
- Prepare and analyze monthly foreign exchange rates and their impact on consolidated statements.
- Drive implementation of new accounting standards, amendments, and interpretations under Ind AS.
- Maintain and govern the Group consolidation system and general ledger structure.
- Conduct quarterly balance‑sheet reviews and account scrutiny across group entities.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities in financial reporting and consolidation processes.
- Collaborate with finance teams worldwide to strengthen accounting policies and standard operating procedures.
- Support continuous improvement to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
Skills
- CA with 4–6 years of experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of Ind AS, especially consolidation, business combinations, and disclosures.
- Hands‑on experience preparing consolidated statements for Indian multi‑entity organizations (50+ subsidiaries including foreign entities).
- Knowledge of foreign‑currency accounting and inter‑company reconciliations.
- Proficiency in statutory reporting, annual report preparation, and XBRL filings.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Experience leading audit processes with Big 4 firms.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet stringent reporting timelines.
Good to Have
- Experience with consolidation and financial reporting software (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, eMerge, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and financial interpretation skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to work across global finance teams.
