Job summary

The Manager Fire & Safety Operations at Indus Group will oversee the end-to-end management of the Fire & Safety contract at the designated site in Chennai. The role requires coordinating with the client and internal teams to ensure contractual obligations are met, safety standards are followed, and timely operational reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the overall in-charge for the Fire & Safety contract at the project site.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the client, port authority (where applicable), and the company.
  • Ensure contractual compliance and achievement of all service level requirements.
  • Plan, deploy, and supervise Fire & Safety personnel to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Monitor attendance, duty rosters, leave management, and manpower utilization.
  • Oversee issuance, maintenance, and inventory of uniforms, PPE, firefighting equipment, and related assets.
  • Coordinate recruitment, induction, training, competency assessments, and refresher programs for firefighting personnel.
  • Conduct periodic inspections, mock drills, toolbox talks, and safety awareness sessions.
  • Prepare and submit operational reports (Fire Call Reports, Incident Investigations, PFS, MIS, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable fire safety regulations, SOPs, and client standards.
  • Investigate incidents, recommend corrective actions, and implement preventive measures.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment remains operational and inspection-ready.
  • Monitor contract performance, identify improvements, and control operating costs.

Job Summary

The Manager Fire & Safety Operations will be responsible for the overall management and administration of the Fire & Safety contract at the assigned site. The individual will act as the primary liaison between the client and the company, ensuring smooth execution of contractual obligations, effective manpower management, compliance with safety standards, and timely submission of operational reports. Tamil Language is must.


Key Responsibilities


  • Act as the overall in-charge for the Fire & Safety contract at the project site.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the client, port authority (where applicable), and the company.
  • Ensure contractual compliance and achievement of all service level requirements.
  • Plan, deploy, and supervise Fire & Safety personnel to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Monitor attendance, duty rosters, leave management, and manpower utilization.
  • Oversee issuance, maintenance, and inventory of uniforms, PPE, firefighting equipment, and related assets.
  • Ensure personnel maintain discipline, grooming, and professional conduct at all times.
  • Coordinate recruitment, induction, training, competency assessments, and refresher programs for firefighting personnel.
  • Conduct periodic inspections, mock drills, toolbox talks, and safety awareness sessions.
  • Prepare and submit operational reports, including:
    • Fire Call Reports
    • Incident Investigation Reports
    • Fire Prevention & Safety (PFS) Inspection Reports
    • Daily, Weekly, and Monthly MIS Reports
    • Client-required statutory and operational documentation
  • Ensure compliance with applicable fire safety regulations, company SOPs, and client safety standards.
  • Investigate incidents, recommend corrective actions, and implement preventive measures.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure firefighting equipment remains operational and inspection-ready.
  • Monitor contract performance, identify operational improvements, and control operating costs.
  • Handle client meetings, audits, inspections, and resolve operational issues promptly.
  • Support billing documentation, manpower records, and other administrative requirements related to the contract.
