Job summary

Vertis Infrastructure Trust is seeking a Chartered Accountant to lead financial reporting and compliance in Mumbai. The role covers preparing financial statements, month-end close, MIS reporting, and regulatory filings.

You will consolidate accounts across entities, analyze variances, support audits, and help budgets and forecasts. 3-4 years' experience in financial reporting, with IND AS / IGAAP knowledge, is preferred. Experience in road infrastructure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant with 3-4 years in financial reporting.
• Knowledge of IND AS / IGAAP or concession agreements.
• Familiarity with road sector is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Financial Statements Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with INDAS / IGAAP.
• Month-End Close: Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
• MIS: Prepare MIS and analyze actual performance with budget.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements, including tax filings and statutory audits.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with budgeted figures, identifying trends and providing insights for management decisions.
• Consolidation: Consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities within Invit.

Internal Controls:

• Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations during audit processes.
• Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Budget Preparation: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, working closely with various departments to gather necessary information.
• Forecasting: Prepare financial forecasts based on historical data, current trends, and future projections.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications:

• Education: Chartered Accountant
• Experience: 3-4 years of experience in financial reporting roles, preferably within the road sector or infrastructure industry.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of IND AS / IGAAP or concession agreements. Familiarity with the road sector is an advantage.
