About the Role
We are looking for a Manager – Finance to own Books, Audit, Banking, Insurance, and Assets at Meesho. This role offers the chance to work on high‑impact projects and contribute to building financial processes that comply with the requirements of a listed company. You’ll ensure accurate reporting, smooth audits, strong treasury management, and lead critical finance initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and ensure timely closure of financial statements (standalone & consolidated) in compliance with Ind AS and Indian GAAP, with high accuracy and completeness.
- Independently evaluate and implement accounting treatment for new business initiatives and complex transactions, including appropriate disclosures in financial statements.
- Execute financial reporting requirements, including audit readiness, documentation, and external reporting, aligned with listed company standards.
- Manage end‑to‑end coordination with Big 4 auditors to ensure smooth and timely completion of quarterly and annual audits.
- Own and drive month‑end and year‑end close processes, including consolidation, with a focus on timelines, accuracy, and process improvements.
- Prepare and support deliverables for quarterly reviews, annual reports, and investor queries, ensuring high‑quality outputs.
- Manage treasury operations, including cash flow monitoring, banking coordination, investments tracking, and support on hedging execution.
- Oversee accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, payroll), ensuring accuracy, controls, and adherence to timelines.
- Manage fixed assets and insurance processes, ensuring compliance, tracking, and appropriate accounting.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOPs, and governance frameworks, and proactively drive process improvements and standardization.
- Coordinate with external consultants/advisors to ensure alignment of accounting practices with industry standards.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, ensuring quality and timely delivery of team outputs.
What You’ll Need
- Chartered Accountant with 4–6 years of post‑qualification experience in a listed organization handling statutory reporting.
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards, reporting, and ERP systems.
- Experience in stakeholder management.
- Strong execution bias, problem‑solving skills, and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
