Job summary

SpringTide Consulting's German MNC client is establishing its first India manufacturing facility at Chakan, Pune. We are seeking a hands-on Finance & Accounts leader to build and run the India finance function from the ground up, overseeing statutory compliance, taxation, costing and reporting.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years in finance & accounts, with demonstrable experience of independently running or building a finance function.
• Manufacturing experience essential; auto components and MNC exposure preferred.
• Hands-on with ERP and Tally; exposure to group reporting and German GAAP (HGB) an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Own and run the complete accounting, finance, taxation and statutory compliance function for the India entity.
• Lead the transition of accounting in-house from the external service provider and build scalable processes and internal controls.
• Own plant costing, standard costing, inventory valuation, cost-centre reporting and variance analysis.
• Manage compliance across GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act and FEMA, with the retained tax and compliance partners.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, cash flow and monthly MIS, and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Act as the finance interface with the German parent - monthly P&L pack in the group format, quarterly Indian statutory financials, and reconciliation from Indian GAAP to German GAAP (HGB).
• Lead statutory audits and coordinate with the retained CA, tax and company-secretarial partners, including ROC / Companies Act compliance.

Manager Finance & Accounts (Functional Head) | German MNC | Chakan, Pune

A German engineering-plastics auto component manufacturing compnay (client of SpringTide Consulting) is setting up its first India manufacturing facility at Chakan, Pune. We are looking for a hands-on Finance & Accounts leader to build and run the India finance function from the ground up.

This is a build-from-scratch, own-the-function role not a maintain-the-books role. You will establish the finance function, run it end to end, and be the finance interface with the German parent, with strong potential to grow as the plant scales.

The Role

You will own the complete finance and accounts function of the India entity statutory accounting, taxation and compliance, plant costing and controlling, MIS and group reporting - with one Executive reporting to you. The role reports to the Plant Manager (India) on a solid line and to the Global Finance Head (Germany) on a functional / dotted line, with an approximately equal balance between plant costing / controlling and financial accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Who Should Apply

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance); CA-Inter / CMA-Inter an advantage, not mandatory.
• 8-12 years in finance & accounts, with demonstrable experience of independently running or building a finance function.
• Manufacturing experience essential; auto components and MNC / foreign-subsidiary exposure preferred.
• Strong in Indian statutory and tax compliance, manufacturing costing, inventory valuation and plant controlling.
• Hands-on with ERP and Tally; exposure to group / parent reporting and German GAAP (HGB) an advantage, or willingness to build it with parent support.
• Fluent in English, Marathi and Hindi. Candidates residing within approximately 25 km of Chakan will be preferred.
