Key Responsibilities
  • Financial closing: Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closure of books, including closure calendar, cut-off controls, accruals, provisions, estimates, reconciliations and review of closing entries.
  • Consolidation and reporting: Prepare and review standalone and consolidated financial statements, schedules and disclosures in line with applicable Ind AS, Companies Act requirements and listing-related reporting timelines.

  • SAP and data integrity: Ensure completeness and accuracy of SAP ledgers, profit centres, cost centres and project structures; drive timely resolution of interface, mapping and master-data issues.
  • Balance-sheet governance: Review key balance-sheet reconciliations, ageing, open items, advances, GR/IR, inter-unit and related‑party balances and ensure clear ownership and closure of exceptions.
  • Statutory audit: Coordinate with statutory auditors, manage audit schedules and information requests, support resolution of observations and ensure timely completion of limited reviews and annual audit.
  • Related party transactions: Identify, record, reconcile and disclose related party transactions and balances; support their review, approval and reporting to the Audit Committee and Board in line with SEBI LODR and Companies Act requirements.

  • Taxation coordination: Coordinate with the tax team on GST, TDS, tax audit, deferred tax and reconciliation of books with tax and statutory records.
  • Compliance and controls: Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal financial controls, statutory requirements and internal closing SOPs; identify control gaps and implement practical corrective actions.
  • Internal financial controls: Support design, testing and evidencing of internal financial controls over reporting (IFCoFR) and follow through on internal audit observations.
  • Regulatory filings: Support timely and accurate financial disclosures, XBRL filings and other listing‑related submissions in coordination with the Company Secretary.
  • Management and investor reporting: Prepare accurate financial inputs, analyses and slides for management reviews, Board/Audit Committee packs, investor presentations and quarterly result communication.
  • Digital enablement: Use SAP capabilities, Excel, Power Query, BI tools, workflow automation and AI‑enabled productivity tools to reduce manual work, improve controls and accelerate reporting.
  • Cross-functional coordination: Work with project, procurement, commercial, billing, taxation, treasury, legal and secretarial teams to obtain complete and timely closure inputs.
  • Team leadership: Guide and review the work of finance team members, set clear timelines, build back‑up capability and promote a disciplined, ownership‑driven closing culture.
Candidate Profile
  • Experience: 9-12 years of relevant post‑qualification experience, with substantial hands‑on responsibility for end‑to‑end book closing and financial reporting.
  • Listed‑company exposure: Current or recent experience in a listed company, including quarterly reporting, limited review, year‑end audit and management or investor reporting.
  • Sector experience: Strong preference for EPC, construction, infrastructure, engineering or project‑based businesses with multi‑location operations.
  • ERP capability: Strong working knowledge of SAP FI/CO and practical experience in extracting, validating and reconciling large data sets.
  • Technical knowledge: Sound understanding of Ind AS (including revenue and lease standards), consolidation, Schedule III, related‑party disclosures, segment reporting and internal financial controls.
  • Regulatory awareness: Working knowledge of SEBI LODR reporting timelines, XBRL and interaction with the secretarial function.
  • Execution strength: Demonstrated record of completing closure within defined timelines without compromising accuracy, documentation or control.
