Job summary

Aban Singapore is seeking a Manager - Finance & Accounts to oversee day-to-day finance operations, ensure accurate accounting, monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, and maintain strong financial controls from our Chennai office.

You will drive cash flow management, budgeting, variance analysis, taxation compliance for group companies, and coordination with auditors to close audits on time, enabling informed strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in preparing and reviewing financial statements and management reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Finance & Accounts operations, ensuring accurate and timely accounting and reporting.
• Oversee general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ledger management.
• Corporate taxation function manages all direct and indirect tax compliance of all group companies, including tax planning, periodical statutory compliances, assessments, hearings and tax litigation.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, fund requirements and banking activities.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and variance analysis, providing insights to management for decision-making.
• Monitor costs, expenses and financial controls and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Support management in financial planning, MIS, business analysis and strategic decision-making.
