Vodafone Idea Limited in Hyderabad seeks a Manager – Transport Engineer to oversee transport network operations across Core & Agg locations. You will manage IP-MPLS/DWDM networks, coordinate with OEMs, and drive service reliability for voice/data services.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years in telecom transport, multi-vendor gear experience (Huawei, Ciena, Nokia, Cisco, Juniper), and BE/B.Tech in electronics or CS. CCNA/JNCA/NRS-1 is preferred.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electronics/Computer Science.
• CCNA/JNCA/NRS-1 certification.
• 8–10 years of transport network experience in service provider/OEM environments.

Responsabilités

• Deliver Network and service KPIs for transport network.
• Collaborate with circle/central teams to meet uptime and KPI targets.
• Disaster recovery operations and situation-specific solutions.
• Asset management and spare management.
• Preventive maintenance to reduce outages and alarms.
• Deliver NOC demands and WFM compliance.
• Maintain NDD and physical connectivity details.
• Coordinate with OEMs and OSS/NOC to reduce MTTR.
• Optimize network performance and rerouting.

Job Purpose

• Responsible for Transport network ( Optics/DWDM/IP-MPLS etc) operations and the service experience especially in Core & Agg locations
• Transport network acceptance with architecture compliance, quality of installation. Clearance of systemic deviations.
• Proactive plan to mitigate network risks due to environment or other factors

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

• Accountable to deliver the Network and service KPIs for transport network. Deliver service experience to Mobility and enterprise customers.
• Work closely with other functions in the circle and central to meet uptime, fault KPI, performance KPI and Change management KPI.
• Disaster recovery operations and situation specific solutions to improve experience for Voice and Data services
• Asset Management and spare management
• Responsible for preventive maintenance of transport network to reduce outages, alarms , performance issues and equipment damage
• Deliver the NOC demands, WFM compliance
• Maintain NDD and physical connectivity details
• Work with OEMs, transport, Infra ,OSP teams & NOC to reduce MTTR.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

• 8-10 Years of Transport network Experience in service provider/OEM environment
• Technical expertise in IP-MPLS/DWDM,OTN,MPLS-TP, Ethernet ,SDH etc
• Understanding of Mobility services such as 4G, VoLTE desired.
• Hands on experience in Tools and testers
• Hands on experience in managing Huawei/ECI/Ciena/ZTE/Infinera/Tejas /Cisco/Juniper/Nokia devices in a multi-vendor architecture
• Experience in equipment installation
• Experience in infra maintenance
• Ability to work in dynamic and matrix organization

Must have technical / professional qualifications

• BE/B. Tech in Electronics/Computer science
• CCNA/JNCA/NRS-1
