Job summary

Vodafone Idea Limited in India seeks an experienced AGM – IP-SME to lead circle IP/MPLS and IP-CPE networks within Transport Operations. You will drive service quality for Voice and Data and manage multi-vendor equipment, coordinating with NOC and OEMs to optimize performance.

The role requires 10–12 years of IP/MPLS experience, expertise in BGP/RSVP/QoS, and certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE. Join a team focused on reliable connectivity and digital excellence.

Qualifications

• 10-12 years of IP/MPLS experience in service provider/OEM environments.
• Technical expertise in BGP, SR, TE, QoS, ISIS, RSVP.
• Understanding of mobility services such as 4G, VoLTE.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper/Nokia devices in a multi-vendor setup.
• Excellent teamwork, communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver network and service KPIs for IP networks and systems; ensure quality of service.
• Collaborate with circle/central transport teams to meet uptime and KPI targets.
• Implement circle-specific solutions to improve Voice and Data experiences.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce outages and alarms.
• Coordinate with OEMs, Optical, OSP, NOC and field engineers to reduce MTTR.
• Drive Opex savings through network optimization and spare management.

Job Purpose

• Responsible for circle transport IP/MPLS network ,Mobility IP CPE network and the service experience
• IP/MPLS Network & IP-CPE network architecture compliance. Continuous audit of the network and ensure compliance
• IP/MPLS network acceptance with respect to quality of installation, architecture, and eco system
• Build a support system for process standardization and OSS integration of the transport network

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

• Accountable to deliver the Network and service KPIs for the IP network & systems . Deliver service experience to Mobility and enterprise customers.
• Work closely with other transport functions in the circle and central to meet uptime , fault KPI, performance KPI and Change management KPI.
• Implement circle specific solutions to improve experience for Voice and Data services
• Responsible for preventive maintenance of IP network to reduce outages, alarms , performance issues and equipment damage
• Drive and work with OEMs, Optical ,OSP teams, NOC and other Field Engineers to reduce MTTR

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

• 10-12 Years of IP/MPLS Experience in service provider/OEM environment
• Technical expertise in IP/MPLS technologies such as BGP, SR, TE, QoS, ISIS, RSVP etc.
• Understanding of Mobility services such as 4G, VoLTE desired.
• Hands on experience in managing Cisco/Juniper/Nokia devices in a multi vendor architecture
• Excellent team building capabilities, communication & Presentation skills.
• Ability to work in dynamic and matrix organization

Must have technical / professional qualifications

• Graduate in Electronics/Computer science
