Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering activities for Material Handling Equipment projects from order receipt to completion.

• Review customer specifications and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors and site teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare GA drawings, detailed drawings, layouts, P&IDs and technical docs.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions with customers.
• Support procurement engineering activities and bid analysis.
• Monitor progress and identify risks to schedules.
• Provide guidance during manufacturing, erection, and commissioning.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result‑oriented Project Manager to lead engineering activities for Material Handling Equipment projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, reviewing, and delivering multidisciplinary engineering deliverables while ensuring adherence to project schedules, quality standards, client specifications, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering activities for Material Handling Equipment projects from order receipt to project completion.
• Prepare and monitor engineering schedules in line with overall project timelines.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Process Engineering teams for timely release of engineering deliverables.
• Review customer specifications, technical documents, contract requirements, and ensure engineering compliance.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and site teams to resolve engineering issues.
• Ensure timely preparation and approval of General Arrangement (GA) drawings, detailed engineering drawings, equipment layouts, P&IDs, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Participate in design review meetings, HAZOP (where applicable), and technical discussions with customers.
• Coordinate procurement engineering activities by providing technical support for vendor evaluations, technical bid analysis, and drawing approvals.
• Monitor engineering progress and identify risks impacting project schedules.
• Provide technical guidance during manufacturing, inspection, erection, commissioning, and performance guarantee tests.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety requirements, and quality procedures.
• Support project execution teams in resolving technical issues during construction and commissioning.
• Prepare engineering progress reports and present project status to management.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement in engineering processes.

Experience

• 10 -15 years of experience in engineering/project engineering of Material Handling Equipment.
• Experience in Ash Handling Systems, Coal Handling Plants (CHP), Bulk Material Handling Systems, Pneumatic Conveying Systems, Belt Conveyors, Crushers, Screens, Stacker Reclaimers, and associated equipment is highly preferred.
• Experience in EPC projects for Power Plants, Steel Plants, Cement Plants, Mining, or Process Industries.
