We have an opportunity for a Manager, Engineering to join our Data Engineering team reporting to the appropriate leadership. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of software and data engineers responsible for building scalable cloud services, API-driven platforms, self-serve data solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities that power customer-facing products and internal engineering efficiency. Collaborating closely with product, analytics, data science, and peer engineering teams, you will provide hands‑on technical leadership across the data and application stack, guide the team from prototype to production, and help deliver high‑impact, reliable, and secure solutions.

Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of software and data engineers through planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering initiatives
  • Partner with product managers, analysts, data scientists, and peer engineering teams to gather requirements, define priorities, and build clear execution plans
  • Design and oversee delivery of cloud-based applications, APIs, and data platforms using modern engineering best practices
  • Build and scale production services, APIs, and self‑serve data capabilities that support customer-facing products, analytics, operations, and AI‑driven experiences
  • Guide the team in turning prototypes and exploratory work into robust, production‑ready solutions with strong code quality, testing, and observability
  • Establish and champion best practices for architecture, code reviews, test automation, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response
  • Promote practical use of AI-powered development tools and AI-assisted workflows to improve engineering productivity and code quality
  • Use metrics, logging, and monitoring to identify and drive improvements in customer experience, scalability, reliability, efficiency, and cost
  • Hire, coach, and develop a diverse, high‑performing team, setting clear goals and providing actionable, growth‑oriented feedback
  • Create an environment where engineers can do their best work and contribute to technical strategy, roadmap, and cross‑functional execution

Be Prepared — What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
  • 12 years of industry experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a related technical field, including substantial experience leading engineering teams
  • Strong experience delivering reliable production software or cloud services in customer‑facing environments, preferably on AWS
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or Scala
  • Hands‑on experience building and operating scalable cloud services, APIs, distributed systems, or self‑serve data applications in production
  • Solid grounding in software engineering fundamentals, including object‑oriented design, design patterns, code quality, and automated testing
  • Demonstrated success leading cross‑functional teams across software engineering, data engineering, analytics, and data science
  • Experience coaching engineers, managing performance, and building strong, inclusive teams that deliver high‑quality results
  • Strong customer orientation and ability to balance customer needs, operational excellence, short‑term delivery, and long‑term technical direction
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled engineering workflows, ML-powered product capabilities, and AI‑powered development tools for productivity and quality
