Job summary

LNT-TM team in Chennai seeks an experienced Manager/Engineer for Tunnel Mechanical leadership. You will oversee TBM operations, maintenance, refurbishment, and related mechanical works on large tunneling projects, supervising workshops and field crews to ensure safety and timely delivery.

Candidates should have 10-15 years of relevant experience, a BTech degree, and strong coordination with subcontractors and clients to achieve project milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Technology (BTech) required.
• Experience with TBM and tunnel mechanical maintenance.
• Strong supervision and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible and monitoring for TBM and mechanical equipment maintenance, refurbishment, operations.
• Supervise TBM mechanical workmen in mining, ring building, cutter head intervention works.
• Supervise cutter repair workshop and welding, cutting, grinding works.
• Maintain site records of cutter head intervention, refurbishment, repairs.
• Review and prepare method statements for client submission.
• Monitor site progress, manpower mobilization and equipment deployment.
• Ensure job safety analysis and site safety compliance.
• Coordinate with other departments and subcontractors to ensure smooth work.
