Job summary

Aeron Systems in Pune is seeking a skilled Requirements-Based Embedded Product Tester to join our team. The candidate will test and validate embedded systems to ensure they meet requirements and quality standards.

You will define test plans, execute tests, collaborate with hardware and firmware teams, set up HIL environments, and mentor junior QA engineers as part of our test strategy. This role offers growth in embedded product testing and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in embedded product testing.
• Familiarity with requirements-based testing methodologies such as V-Model or Agile.
• Experience with software testing tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or similar; scripting in Python or C.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle and software testing methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for embedded systems (firmware + hardware).
• Perform functional, regression, performance, and stress testing on embedded products.
• Collaborate with hardware and firmware development teams to understand product design and resolve defects.
• Set up and maintain test environments including hardware-in-loop (HIL) systems and simulators.
• Analyze logs and trace files to identify and isolate issues; document defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Conduct root cause analysis and suggest product improvements.
• Validate product against compliance requirements (e.g., safety, EMC, environmental standards).
• Mentor junior QA engineers and lead test strategy discussions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
