Job summary

ib vogt GmbH is seeking a Project Planning & Management professional in India to lead planning and execution of high-voltage transmission line projects. The role focuses on CAPEX budgeting, zero costing, and profitability planning while coordinating across internal teams, contractors, and utilities to ensure timely delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, strong knowledge of EHV transmission and switchyard execution, and proficiency in SAP and MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of EHV Transmission Lines, Switchyard execution & project coordination.
• Expertise in Project Management, Planning & L2/L3 Scheduling.
• Proficiency in SAP, MS Project/Primavera.
• Certified PMP / Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred).
• Excellent communication, analytical & stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to handle high-value projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of EHV Transmission Line & Switchyard projects (132kV/220 kV/400kV–765kV).
• Manage project budgeting including CAPEX preparation, BOQ estimation, zero costing & profitability planning.
• Handle contract management: cost estimation, tender support, amendment proposals, time extensions, and BG tracking.
• Prepare L2/L3 project schedules, monitor progress, and drive timely execution.
• Manage material planning: indenting, tracking deliveries, supply status monitoring, and monthly reconciliations.
• Support and guide site teams in implementing construction plans.
• Strong understanding of survey, civil works (pile foundations), electrical erection & stringing.
• Troubleshoot on-ground issues and ensure quality, safety, and timelines.
• Develop and implement SOPs for process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Conduct RCA and implement mitigation plans to avoid delays.
• Drive process re-engineering initiatives to enhance execution quality.
• Coordinate across internal teams, contractors, OEMs, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Experience handling key clients such as central and state utilities.
• Ensure timely submission of project documents, quality plans, drawings, approvals, and compliance.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Management

• Lead planning and execution of EHV Transmission Line & Switchyard projects (132kV/220 kV/400kV–765kV).
• Manage project budgeting including CAPEX preparation, BOQ estimation, zero costing & profitability planning.
• Handle contract management: cost estimation, tender support, amendment proposals, time extensions, and BG tracking.
• Prepare L2/L3 project schedules, monitor progress (weekly/monthly/quarterly), and drive timely execution.
• Manage material planning: indenting, tracking deliveries, supply status monitoring, and monthly reconciliations.

On-Site Execution

• Support and guide site teams in implementing construction plans.
• Strong understanding of survey, civil works (pile foundations), electrical erection & stringing.

Business Process Excellence
