Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking an EHS specialist to manage regulatory compliance and continuously improve EHS practices at the site. The role requires interaction with various environmental health and safety authorities and cross-functional teams.

The incumbent will conduct audits, develop policies, and deliver training on best practices, with a focus on chemical/petrochemical environments. Strong regulatory knowledge and audit capabilities are essential.

Qualifications

  • Education as specified in the posting: B.Tech/BE in chemical or B.Sc in Chemistry or M.Sc in Chemistry or Environmental Science with PDIS/ADIS.
  • Experience with EHS regulatory bodies and internal compliance programs is advantageous.
  • Ability to conduct audits, inspections, and deliver effective training on EHS practices.

Responsibilities

  • Deal with GPCB, CPCB, DISH, PESO, MoEF and other regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure site EHS compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify improvement areas in EHS management.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Provide training on EHS best practices to employees and contractors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS into operations.
  • Maintain compliance programs such as confined space entry, LOTO, Hazard Communication, etc.
  • Industrial experience in Polymer/Chemical/Petrochemicals.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Should be deal with GPCB, CPCB, DISH, PESO, MoEF
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to Environment Health & Safety (EHS) at the site.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas of improvement in EHS management.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective safety policies, procedures, and programs for the organization.
  • Provide training on EHS best practices to employees and contractors working at the site.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of EHS considerations into business operations.
  • Compliance of applicable laws and regulations related to GPCB, CPCB, GIDC, DISH, PESO etc.
  • Administering and maintaining compliance programs such as Confined space entry, LOTO, Hazard Communication, Hearing Conservation, Hot Work, Height work, Respiratory Protection, BBP, identifying risk and its mitigation etc.
  • Industrial Experience in Polymer/ Chemical/Petrochemicals.
