Job summary

Sun Pharma is seeking a Manager EHS in Mumbai to lead environment, health and safety initiatives across sites. The role focuses on operating zero liquid discharge systems, process safety, industrial hygiene, and sustainable practices to protect people and the planet.

You will drive EHS KPIs, schedule monthly reviews, and collaborate with operations to deliver continuous improvements in water and energy use, waste reduction, and compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in EHS roles
• Strong understanding of process safety and industrial hygiene
• Experience with ZLD systems and sustainability initiatives

Responsibilities

• Support sites in operating ZLD systems (ETP, RO, MEE, ATFD)
• Support safety improvement programs focusing on Process Safety and Industrial Hygiene
• Support sustainability initiatives covering water conservation, energy reduction, and waste minimization
• Perform site assurance assessments as per EHS KPI’s
• Schedule monthly EHS meetings to review progress

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting sites in the smooth operation of Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems, including ETP, Reverse Osmosis (RO), Multi-Effect Evaporators (MEE), and Agitated Thin Film Dryers (ATFD).
• Supporting sites in continuous safety improvement programs, with a focus on Process Safety and Industrial Hygiene.
• Supporting sites in implementing sustainability initiatives, including water conservation, energy reduction, and waste minimization.
• Performing site assurance assessments as per EHS KPI’s
• Scheduling monthly EHS meetings to review the progress.
