Job summary

Sigma Earth is seeking an experienced team lead to manage data profiling across content pillars and markets. You will recruit, coach, and develop analysts, drive performance reviews, and ensure timely delivery of data profiles with high quality.

The role requires 5–8 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in leadership, and a strong background in analytics, ESG knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration. Flexibility in shift schedules is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Geology, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of relevant work experience in a high-quality, deadline-driven environment, including at least 3 years leading a small team.
  • Knowledge of ESG would be advantageous.
  • Good judgment in evaluating information and understanding how data decisions affect final outputs.
  • Ability to work effectively with teams across different functions.
  • Strong interest and ability in developing, supporting, and growing team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with close attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, independent, results-oriented, and accountable for outcomes.
  • Willingness to work on a flexible shift schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop a team of analysts responsible for data profiling within assigned content pillars and markets.
  • Conduct performance reviews and ensure each team member works toward clearly defined team goals and expectations.
  • Plan manpower capacity and scheduling to ensure SLAs and operational goals are met or exceeded.
  • Manage workflow queues to ensure data profiles are delivered on time and in line with production schedules.
  • Enforce quality assurance processes and controls to ensure accuracy levels meet targets.
  • Collaborate with data teams across locations to develop and maintain methodology guides and procedure manuals.
  • Ensure staff follow established data collection and quality procedures consistently.
  • Analyse performance metrics related to timeliness, efficiency, quality, and controls, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Research, recommend, and implement technology or content enhancements that improve product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Work with Research, IC, Product, Development, QBIT, and other teams to support product improvements and extensions.
  • Respond to queries from internal and external clients in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities
People Management

Operational Management

  • Performance improvement: Analyse performance metrics related to timeliness, efficiency, quality, and controls, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Technology and content improvement: Research, recommend, and implement technology or content enhancements that improve product quality and operational efficiency.
Product Support
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work with teams across Research, IC, Product, Development, QBIT, and other functions to support planned product improvements and extensions.
  • Client query support: Respond to queries from internal and external clients in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications
  • Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Geology, or a related field; a postgraduate degree would be an advantage.
  • Relevant experience: 5–8 years of relevant work experience in a high-quality, deadline-driven environment, including at least 3 years of experience leading a small team.
  • ESG knowledge: Knowledge of corporate governance and/or ESG would be an advantage.
  • Decision-making ability: Good judgment in evaluating available information and understanding how data decisions affect final product outputs.
  • Cross-functional effectiveness: Ability to work effectively with teams across different functions.
  • People development: Strong interest and ability in developing, supporting, and growing team members.
