Job summary

HSBC in India seeks a Manager Data and Analytics to lead analytical initiatives and deliver value. You will manage project delivery, mentor teammates, and ensure policy compliance across analytics projects.

The role requires 0-6 years in Data and Analytics, a degree in Engineering/CS/PhD, strong Python and OOP skills, plus experience in software development, JavaScript, Selenium, ML, Gen AI and Agentic AI.

Qualifications

• Educational qualification - Bachelors/Masters in Engineering, Computer Science or Doctor of Philosophy
• Expertise in core Python and Object Oriented Programming
• Hands on experience in software development and deployment

Responsibilities

• Continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and changes in economic or market conditions, regulatory requirements, and technology

In This Role, You Will

• Execute moderate to complex analysis and strategy with proper instructions

• The jobholder will continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and coaching / training new team members. The jobholder will implement the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business must comply.
• This will be achieved by observing to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also, and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.

To Be Successful You Will

• Need to have 0-6 years of experince in Data and Analytics
