Responsibilities

  • Define the team's analytical approach to quantify savings and ROI for clients.
  • Lead energy data analysis, including circuit, HVAC data, and data validation.
  • Own savings baselining methodology per IPMVP/ASHRAE guidelines.
  • Prepare and visualize energy reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead client walkthroughs of dashboards and analytical findings.
  • Manage and develop the analytics team; ensure timely delivery of reports.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Product, Data Engineering and Field Support teams.
  • Ensure data quality through post-commissioning validation and reconciliation.

Racanaa Energy(www.racanaa.com) is looking for a Manager - Customer Insights to join their growing team in Bangalore. The candidate should have at least 8-10 years of experience in monitoring and analyzing data from energy systems and identifying possible action points. The candidate should have the capability of managing a team.

Job Purpose (brief)

The role will be responsible for leading the data analysis team across a growing client portifolio, turning circuit level data into savings evidence and business insights. You will collaborate with multiple teams across the company, such as the Sales, Product Team, Data Engineering, Field Support and Business Development teams.

Energy Analysis & Reporting
  • Define the team's analytical approach, shifting from descriptive site reports to insights that quantify savings and ROI for clients.
  • Stay hands-on with energy consumption, power quality and HVAC data, and review your team's work before it reaches clients.
  • Own the savings and baselining methodology, grounded in IPMVP and ASHRAE Guidelines.
  • Prepare, standardize, and visualize energy consumption and savings reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead client walkthroughs of dashboards and analytical findings
  • Use single line diagrams and MEP documents to accurately map electrical loads, identify circuit/asset tagging misalignments, and optimize labelling to improve data accuracy.
  • Collect, compare, and analyse energy manager data against electricity bills to ensure validity and uncover discrepancies.
  • In-depth knowledge of power quality parameters (power factor, harmonics, phase angle) and practical experience in power metering, panel audits, and HVAC systems.
Data Quality, Monitoring & Integration
  • Own analytical data quality standards, such as post-commissioning validation, circuit connectivity and meter-versus-bill reconciliation.
  • Work with Data Engineering to ensure asset metadata is captured and maintained, including asset type and rating.
  • Validate post-commissioning quality of energy data (meter reading, connectivity, asset type).
  • Lead and develop the wider team of senior and mid-level energy analysts
  • Effectively manage and deligate workloads across team members to ensure timely delivery of reports.
  • Work to build the teams skills beyond and experience level, team members should be growing in their abilities.
  • Work with the VP of Energy to set objective, run performance reviews and hire new team members.
Process Development & Continuous Improvement
  • Establish technical guidelines and SOPs for data quality, asset labelling, and monitoring.
  • Continuously integrate feedback and industry best practices to refine analytics methodologies, dashboard designs, and reporting standards.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in electrical infrastructure and energy management to innovate data analysis and visualization approaches.
Technical Proficiency and Analytical Expertise
  • Programming & Databases: Intermediate proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience working with databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
  • Statistical Analysis: Strong foundation in statistical methodologies including Predictive Modeling, Z-test, T-test, P-values, ANOVA, Regression Analysis, Chi-Square Test, Correlation, and both Linear and Non-linear Testing.
Qualifications
  • M.Tech/B.Tech in Power Electronics/EEE
  • Strong hold in data analytics
  • Any short-term course in data science/ data structuring & modelling will be an added plus
Experience:
  • 6+ years in energy data analysis
  • 2+ years of experience leading analysts and managing teams
  • Experience with measurement and verification standards (IPMVP or similar)
  • Experience producing client-facing reports, and explaining findings to non-technical people.
  • Advanced Excel ( Formulas, pivate tables and macros), working Python and SQL
  • Proven ability to manage, analyse, and visualize large datasets
