GreyOrange, Inc. in Gurugram, India, seeks a Manager – Cost Accounting to own end-to-end cost accounting for inventory and manufacturing operations.
You will manage COGS across revenue streams and ensure accurate recognition, allocation, and reconciliation to revenue. The role requires CA/CPA/MBA with 8-10 years post-qualification experience, deep US GAAP knowledge, and strong NetSuite Manufacturing expertise.
Role: Manager – Cost Accounting
Location: Gurugram, India
Own end-to-end cost accounting for inventory and manufacturing operations, including standard costing, cost roll‑ups, variance analysis, and periodic inventory valuation in accordance with US GAAP.
Manage Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) accounting across all revenue streams — hardware sales, software, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), and professional services — ensuring accurate recognition, allocation, and reconciliation to revenue.
Account for and monitor warranty costs on product sales, including accrual methodology, true-ups, and analysis of actual claims versus reserves.
Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations teams on inventory accuracy, cycle counts, obsolescence/excess & obsolete (E&O) reserves, and physical inventory processes.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP (including ASC 330 Inventory, ASC 606 revenue/cost matching) for all cost accounting activities, including technical analysis and disclosures.
Coordinate and manage external and internal Audit requests related to General ledger, controls testing and financial statement
Drive and partner with external/ internal teams for process improvements, automation
Chartered Accountant/ CPA/ MBA with 8-10 years of post-qualification experience,
Experience in Big 4 or large accounting firms is preferred
Strong knowledge of NetSuite Manufacturing and Inventory Management
Sound knowledge of US GAAP/Ind AS
Experience with Multinational set up, and/ OR Start-up organizations preferred
Strong financial concepts, knowledge of accounting principles, and clarity on consolidation
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, good IT proficiency, particularly in Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
