Job summary

The SLK Group is actively seeking a Manager – Controllership in Bengaluru. The role oversees accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and audits to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence.

You will lead monthly closings, balance sheet reconciliations, and the preparation of financial results for management review, while maintaining GL integrity and driving process improvements through automation.

Qualifications

• CA with knowledge of Ind AS, IFRS, and IGAAP.
• Experience with end-to-end closing and tax coordination.
• Big Four audit exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The Manager – Controllership will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and audit activities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all financial and accounting operations comply with Ind AS, IGAAP, and IFRS. Develop and implement local accounting policies, SOPs, and procedures as required.
• Manage monthly financial closing activities accurately and on time, including balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results to the management team.
• Oversee the general ledger function and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Conduct business risk assessments and financial analysis to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Manage day-to-day accounting activities and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process optimization and automation.
• Support the preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns by providing the required financial information.
• Review and strengthen internal financial controls to ensure compliance and minimize financial risks.
• Manage end-to-end financial reporting and audit activities, including statutory audits and group reporting.
• Handle complex ad hoc requests within short timelines, providing relevant analysis and insights to support management decision-making.
• Proactively review financial information, identify discrepancies and inconsistencies, initiate corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster collaboration and drive improvements beyond the finance function.
• In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of Ind AS and IFRS.
• Experience working with Big Four audit firms during statutory audits.
• Hands‑on experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring internal financial controls.
• Knowledge of Zoho ERP is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
