Job summary

Ascensus seeks a finance/accounting professional to monitor and lead compliance testing, trust accounting, and Form 5500 reporting for 401(k) plans. You will oversee quarterly to annual test reviews and drive process improvements while collaborating across teams.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills, with flexibility for day/night shifts as business needs arise.

Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate in Finance/Accounting background.
• Must have good communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic MS Office knowledge with good Excel familiarity.
• Adaptable to day/night shifts as required by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor receipt of census information to complete Compliance Tests, Trust Accounting and Form 5500 reporting for timely delivery.
• Lead design and delivery of a portfolio of compliance tests to monitor regulatory and internal policy adherence.
• Apply expert knowledge of Compliance Testing, Trust Accounting and Form 5500 for 401K plans.
• Conduct test checks quarterly, semi-annual, and annually.
• Develop SLAs and drive process improvements; identify root causes and control gaps; enable organizational change.

Roles & Responsibility

• Monitor receipt of Census information to completion of Compliance Tests, Trust Accounting and Form 5500 reporting and being delivered to client on a timely basis.
• Experience in retirement plan recordkeeping/administration with knowledge of IRS and Department of Labor.
• Lead the design and delivery of a portfolio of Compliance tests to monitor compliance with Regulation and internal policy
• Expert knowledge of Compliance Testing, Trust Accounting and Form 5500 of 401K plans and administration.
• Preferably ASPPA certified or equivalent.
• Conducting test checks/ testing reviews – Quarterly/Semi-annual / Annual basis
• Proven leadership, management, and direct supervisory skills.
• High level written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Develop SLAs, lead process development and improvement
• Understanding root cause / identifying control breaks
• Implementation and Organizational Change Management skills

Education and experience

• Graduate / Postgraduate in Finance/Accounting background
• Proven track record of working effectively in flexible work environment in a result-oriented approach

Skill Requirement

• Should have communication skills, Problem solving and analytical skills
• Basic MS Office knowledge and preference to good working knowledge of Excel
• Must be able to adapt the assignments quickly
• Flexibility in work culture (She/he should be flexible in Day/Night shift based on business requirement)
