Position:Manager Commercial

Role Summary
The Commercial Manager is responsible for managing all aspects ofthe department. He/shehas to drive the department in such a way that the production and other operations of the plant are appropriately supported. He/shehas to facilitate Audits in coordination with his own department and other departments.
Finance
- Setting up and managing financial reporting and accounting processes i.e. monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, and bookkeeping.
- Preparing and maintaining monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements i.e. balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow statements.
- Preparing business plans, projections, budgets, forecasts, and latest estimates.
- Setting up a process for Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition. Managing audits, tax compliance (TDS, GST, IT), and banking-related activities.
- Preparing business plans, projections, budgets, forecasts, latest estimates, etc.
- Monitoring and reviewing of budget and communicating variance torespective cross-functional teams in close coordination with the Plant Head.
- Perform cash management functions and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, payroll, and bank reconciliation functions. Keep a close watch on the receivables, and plan well to ensure business operations run smoothly.
- To evaluate CAPEX proposal for new projects.
Statutory Compliances & Audits
- Responsible for financial-statutory compliances and audits.
- Responsible for Commercial department audits and stock audits.
- Ensure documents and records in ERP and manually should be maintained as per norms andregulations, meeting the requirements of various audits.
MIS Reports
- Ensure timely submission of reports of aforesaid audits to the Plant head and Management Committee on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis.
- Closely coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders for data
collection, report updating, and other clarifications. - Setting up and maintaining monthly MIS and dashboards with key financial and business indicators to support business teams in decision‑making.
Technical Efficiency
- Ensure Technical Efficiency Analysis is carried out on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis in consultation with the production department &and should be shared with the Plant Head and managementCommittee.
- Compare BOM(bills of materials) and activity changes to avoid cost run error and reduced time.
Purchase
- Ensure spare and consumable purchases for maintenance and admin departments.
- Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to ethical and sustainability standards.
- Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favourable pricing, payment terms, and mutually beneficial agreements.
Logistics
- Manage logistics for all inward RM & PM and outward FG.
- To work on planning, purchase, and logistics as per the laid down policies &and procedures.
- Support the manufacturing department for its smooth functioning by timely procuring RM&PM.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Experience with creating financial statements, maintaining general ledgers, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Experience with Cost accounting, Revenue Recognition, and Budgeting process.
- Excellent in Microsoft Excel and accounting software i.e. SAP/NAV.
- Experience working on ERP tools Excellent communication & administrative skill.
Functional Area
Min 10 years of experience in finance reporting/controlling functions in manufacturing businesses.
Academic and Professional Qualification
Preferably Graduation in Commerce (B.Com.)
PG-masters in commerce (M.Com.) or M.B.A in Finance and Accounts
