Job summary

Mercurius Advisory Services in Delhi NCR seeks a Manager to lead taxation and accounting functions for clients, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and standards. You will manage a team, coordinate with clients, and ensure timely, accurate completion of tax and audit tasks.

You will oversee finalization of accounts, tax audits, IT returns, TDS and GST filings, while mentoring junior staff and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

• CA with 6–10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of income tax, GST, TDS and DTAA.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of accounting and taxation professionals to deliver high-quality services and meet deadlines.
• Understand client and project requirements in coordination with senior management and communicate effectively with the team.
• Oversee finalization of accounts ensuring compliance with accounting standards, Companies Act 2013, and income tax laws.
• Supervise preparation and timely filing of tax audit reports, income tax returns, TDS and GST returns.
• Review responses to notices from regulatory authorities and ensure appropriate follow-ups.
• Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, and clients to resolve queries and ensure smooth audits.
• Analyse accounting data including assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure accurate preparation of MIS reports and financial statements including cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with Certification 15CA/CB and DTAA guidelines.
• Provide expert Income Tax and GST consultation to clients.
• Manage GST reconciliations and supervise GSTR-9/9C filings.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance across taxation and accounting functions.
• Mentor and train junior staff to build technical capabilities and improve team performance.
• Monitor project timelines and resource allocation to ensure on-time delivery of client assignments.
