Overview

Profile: Accounting Manager

Job description:

– Responsible for handling a team of 4 to 5 people

– Responsible for stakeholder management and to act as single point of contact for client

– Strong understanding of service offered by the firm and bring potential opportunities to the attention of the Partner

– Provide timely and high-quality services that exceed client expectations

– Ensure all statutory compliances are completed in a timely manner

Detailed scope of work for a manager in relation to various services has been provided below.

Responsibilities

• Summarizing and sharing timely updates on changes notified by the Government or local authorities
• Review of refund calculation and ensuring timely filing of refund application
• Drafting responses to notices, inquiries and other communication received from GST department
• Conduct health-check reviews and ensure that tax compliances are adhered to
• Provide technical assistance and representation services during departmental audits
• Advise and plan optimisation of capital structure and debt-equity ratio
• Assistance in preparation/ advise on advance tax payments/ optimization
• Review of income tax returns for individuals, firms, corporates & other assesses
• Tax representation before Assessing Officer and other tax authorities during scrutiny assessment or investigation by the revenue authorities

Qualifications

• Have expert knowledge of business processes, accounting, reporting and audit methodology
• Be capable of identifying issues and providing optimal solutions
• Have excellent team management and client handling experience
• Have strong communication, with good command on English language and MS Office
• Be passionate about tax and have a strong hold on the concepts of direct and indirect tax laws
