Position Title: Manager – Business Strategy (BD & FP&A)
Role Overview
We are looking for a high-impact professional who can operate at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and financial planning. This role goes beyond reporting—it requires someone who can translate data into decisions, build business cases, and drive execution with rigor and accuracy.
You will work closely with leadership across business development, marketing, finance, and operations to enable growth, evaluate opportunities, and ensure performance visibility across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development Strategy & Enablement
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify growth opportunities, target segments, and competitive landscape
- Support the development of business proposals, pitch decks, and strategic presentations
- Assist in partnership discussions and negotiations, ensuring alignment with business and financial goals
- Coordinate with legal and internal teams on contracts, MoUs, and term sheets, managing documentation flow and version control
- Develop business models and frameworks to evaluate ROI and long-term value from partnerships and new initiatives
- Track and analyze partner pipelines using CRM tools (Zoho, Salesforce), providing actionable insights to BD teams
2. Business & Marketing Analytics
- Track marketing performance including lead generation, conversion funnels, and campaign effectiveness
- Analyze marketing spends and ROI to optimize budget allocation and growth efficiency
- Monitor campaign performance across regions, programs, and channels; recommend data-driven strategies
- Build dashboards, reports, and insight frameworks for leadership consumption
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting systems and dashboards
- Perform data validation and reconciliations across multiple data sources to ensure reliability of insights
3. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead monthly and weekly performance reporting, including budget vs actual analysis and variance tracking
- Perform detailed reconciliations and variance analysis across financial and operational metrics
- Assist in the creation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business planning
- Evaluate financial feasibility of new initiatives, programs, and partnerships
- Present insights in leadership, steering committee, and board discussions with clear financial storytelling
- Build and maintain reports using Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to support decision-making
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with stakeholders across academics, operations, marketing, finance, and legal to drive initiatives
- Act as a bridge between business, finance, and analytics, ensuring alignment on goals and performance metrics
- Support leadership in planning, evaluating, and executing strategic initiatives
- Own end-to-end reporting and performance tracking across business functions
- Streamline processes for reporting, analytics, and business planning workflows
- Identify gaps in data systems and recommend improvements for efficiency and scalability
- Stay updated on trends in financial modeling, analytics, and higher education / edtech growth strategies
- Drive adoption of tools, automation, and best practices to enhance decision-making speed and accuracy
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 4–8years of experience in strategy, business analytics, FP&A, or consulting
- MBA (Finance / Strategy / Analytics preferred)
- Strong expertise in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and data analysis tools (SQL preferred)
- Experience in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking
- Ability to build business cases, proposals, and data-backed recommendations
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy, validation, and reconciliation
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
