Job summary

Ujjivan Small Finance Bank is seeking a seasoned Finance professional to own MSME business planning, budgeting and P&L tracking. The role requires building profitability frameworks, identifying revenue opportunities, and driving cost controls with governance across products, regions and channels.

You will partner with Finance, Risk, Credit, Operations, Analytics and Product teams to translate plans into actionable targets and dashboards, and support leadership with rigorous scenario modelling

Qualifications

• CA qualified or MBA Finance with preferred qualifications in Business Analytics, Financial Modelling, Risk Management or Banking.
• 5–8 years of experience in Banking / NBFC / Financial Services, especially in business planning, FP&A, P&L management, MIS and pricing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain planning, budgeting and profitability framework for MSME business.
• Own P&L visibility across products, segments, regions and channels.
• Partner with Finance, Risk, Credit, Operations, Analytics and Product teams to translate plans into targets and dashboards.
• Support leadership decision-making with sharp financial analysis, scenario modelling and variance analysis.
• Monitor branch and regional profitability including revenue, costs, credit costs and ROE; drive improvement actions.
• Track revenue, NII, fee income, opex, cost of funds and portfolio metrics against targets.
• Develop product-region-channel profitability views for reviews and strategic decisions.
• Build financial models for new products, pricing changes, and pilots.

Job description

• Build business planning, budgeting and profitability management framework for the MSME business by anchoring annual operating plans, monthly outlooks, revenue tracking, cost controls and performance governance.
• Own P&L visibility across products, segments, regions and channels, ensuring timely identification of revenue opportunities, margin movements, cost pressures, credit-cost trends and profitability improvement levers.
• Partner with Business, Finance, Risk, Credit, Operations, Analytics and Product teams to translate plans into actionable targets, dashboards, performance reviews and corrective interventions.
• Support leadership decision-making through sharp financial analysis, scenario modelling, variance analysis, productivity tracking and structured business review notes.
• Own branch-level and regional-level profitability monitoring by tracking revenue, costs, credit costs, contribution margins and risk-adjusted returns; identify profitability improvement opportunities, support performance governance and drive actionable interventions to enhance business performance.
• Own MSME business planning, budgeting, forecasting and P&L tracking cadence in partnership with Finance and Business teams.
• Track revenue, NII, fee income, opex, cost of funds, credit cost, profitability and contribution margin against agreed targets.
• Develop product-wise, region-wise, channel-wise and segment-wise profitability views for business reviews and strategic decisions.
• Monitor disbursement, AUM, yield, spread, approval rate, TAT, conversion, productivity, portfolio quality and collection-related financial impact.
• Build financial models for new products, pricing changes, channel expansion, campaigns, pilots and policy changes.
• Support management reviews with concise dashboards, commentary, insights and action trackers.
• Work with business, regional and product teams to translate financial plans into executable targets and performance scorecards.
• Support leadership discussions with clear articulation of business drivers, profitability levers, risks and opportunities.
• Maintain structured governance for plan versus actuals, revenue bridge, cost bridge, profitability bridge, forecast changes and action closures.

Educational Qualifications:

• CA qualified or MBA Finance. Additional qualification in Business Analytics, Financial Modelling, Risk Management or Banking is preferred.

Experience:

• 5 to 8 years of experience in Banking / NBFC / Financial Services, preferably in business planning, financial planning & analysis, P&L management, business finance, MIS, product finance, retail assets / MSME lending analytics, pricing or strategy roles.
