About the Role

We are looking for a highly analytical and business-oriented Manager – Business Finance to partner closely with the Commerce leadership team and drive growth, profitability, and strategic decision-making. The role will act as the finance partner for POP's Commerce (Shop) business, responsible for business planning, performance management, unit economics, commercial decision support, and profitability optimization across merchants, categories, and customer cohorts. The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling skills with deep business understanding and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

Business Performance Management

• Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly business performance reviews.
• Monitor and analyze key commerce KPIs and identify growth opportunities.
• Track actual performance against budget and forecast.
• Publish management dashboards and business performance reports.
• Lead annual operating plan (AOP), quarterly forecasts, and long‑range planning.
• Partner with business teams to evaluate growth assumptions and financial impact.
• Evaluate merchant partnerships and commercial agreements.
• Analyze commission structures, revenue‑sharing arrangements, and incentive programs.
• Build business cases for new merchant onboarding and category expansion.
• Support commercial negotiations through financial analysis and profitability modeling.

Unit Economics & Profitability

• Own end‑to‑end unit economics of the commerce business.
• Identify margin improvement opportunities and recommend corrective actions.

Customer & Cohort Analytics

• Analyze customer purchase behavior and retention trends.
• Measure repeat purchase rates and customer lifetime value.
• Evaluate effectiveness of rewards, cashback, and loyalty programs.
• Partner with Product and Growth teams to improve customer profitability.

Process Improvement & Automation

• Improve reporting accuracy and speed through automation.
• Build scalable MIS and reporting frameworks.
• Enhance forecasting methodologies and financial controls.

Requirements

• CA / MBA Finance / CFA or equivalent degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in Business Finance, FP&A, Strategic Finance, or Commercial Finance.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Strong understanding of business and financial statements.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Metabase.
• Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills.
