Job summary

MetLife is seeking a Manager/Sr. Manager for Transformation to drive automation and process improvements at MGCC in Pune, leveraging Power Platform, Six Sigma, and Lean principles.

You will lead cross-functional projects, engage stakeholders, and deliver scalable solutions including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, while ensuring governance and ROI realization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree as specified.
• 8–12 years in business applications/analytics leading or supporting Power Platform-driven improvements.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (Black Belt nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Understand current process flow and identify automation opportunities.
• Elicit, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements.
• Track project progress, benefits realization, and ROI to stakeholders.
• Design data models and solution architecture; build apps in Power Apps.
• Develop automated workflows in Power Automate.
• Ensure role-based access and environment governance.
• Design dashboards in Power BI; ensure data quality.
• Define test plans and perform UAT; remediate defects.

Position Summary

As part of MGCC Transformation team, create an impact for MetLife Global Capability Center (MGCC) by improving efficiency in the processes through automation (leveraging Power Platform), and effectiveness leveraging Six Sigma and Lean principles

Job Responsibilities

• Effective customer engagement:
• Understand current process flow, identify automation and other improvement opportunities
• Elicit, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements
• Track and report project progress, benefits realization, and ROI to stakeholders
• Automation leveraging Power Platform capabilities:
• Produce wireframes, data models, and solution architecture
• Build model-driven and canvas apps in Power Apps
• Develop automated workflows in Power Automate
• Implement role-based access and environment governance.
• Building analytics and reporting capabilities:
• Designing data models and interactive dashboards in Power BI as well as ensuring data quality and semantic consistency.
• Using advanced Excel (advanced formulas) and Power Query to develop robust solutions
• Quality assurance - Define test plans and acceptance criteria; perform unit, system, and UAT; remediate defects; ensure performance and reliability.
• Deployment and DevOps - Package and deploy across environments, adhere to change management and release processes.
• Support and lifecycle management - Provide Hypercare, monitor usage and performance, manage backlog, and implement continuous improvements.
• Risk, compliance, and security - Enforce data privacy, access controls, auditability, and platform governance; follow enterprise standards and best practices.
• Documentation and training - Produce solution design docs, SOPs, runbooks, and user guides; conduct knowledge transfer and user enablement.
• Use Six Sigma and Lean methodologies enhance effectiveness by removing errors and output variability

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field

Experience (In Years)

• 8–12 years in business applications/analytics or similar roles as lead or support, delivering 4 to 5 end-to-end high impact solutions using Power Platform and process improvements
• Experience in Lean Six Sigma Methodologies

Technical Skills

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified (must)/ Black Belt Certified (good to have)
• Strong hands‑on experience with Power Apps (canvas/model‑driven), Power Automate (cloud/desktop), Dataverse/SharePoint/SQL connectors, environment strategies.
• Analytics: Statistical tools, Advanced Power BI and Excel (Power Query, advanced formulas, pivoting, data validation)
• Strong SQL fundamentals
• Python and Alteryx knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of AI tools, exposure/engagement in AI driven projects would be an added advantage

Functional Skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
• Ability to independently assess, identify opportunities, design, build, test, and deploy solutions.
• Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
