Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking an experienced AR/GA Manager to coordinate Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Accounting across Asia from Bengaluru, India.

The role ensures accurate month-end close, robust internal controls, and timely financial reporting. Ideal candidates hold CA qualification, with 16+ years in accounting and at least 5 years in a managerial capacity, including shared services exposure.

Qualifications

• CA qualification preferred; MBA/Master’s in Finance considered
• 16+ years of accounting experience with 5+ years as Accounting Manager
• Experience in managing Shared Service teams is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software
• Ability to identify AI use cases in Finance processes and evaluate outputs

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting department operations for efficiency
• Manage AP/AR, cash receipts, payroll, budgeting, etc.
• Oversee month-end close, GL and financial reporting
• Ensure SOX controls compliance and regulatory adherence

As the GA & AR Manager at AMETEK, you will be responsible for coordinating the AP, AR, and GA under Asia.

An AR and GA Manager (Accounts Receivable and General Accounting Manager) oversee incoming, credit controls, general ledger operations, book closure activities, financial reporting and SOX controls. This hybrid leadership role ensures accurate month-end close and strict compliance with local financial regulations.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Supervise daily operations of the accounting department to ensure efficiency.
• Take charge of various financial tasks, including managing accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, payroll, budgeting, etc.
• Analyze accounting data regularly to identify trends or problems.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) in accounting and take actions to improve performance
• Generate timely financial reports or statements regularly.
• Promote compliance with standard practices among staff members.
• Recruit and hire new personnel as needed within the team.
• Provide training for newly hired staff members.
• Identify and implement process enhancement to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the department
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to deliver efficiency and effectiveness. Understanding of AI tools and implementation in Finance processes, Identify the

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Chartered Accountant qualification is preferred. Master’s in finance or master’s in business administration will be considered
• 16+ years of experience in accounting with 5+ years as Accounting manager.
• Experience in managing Shared Service team is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Expertise in accounting software and databases with practical knowledge.
• Possess effective multitasking abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• Equipped with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in time-management abilities.
• Collaboration with various teams to deliver results and improve processes
• Understanding of AI tools and their usage in Finance processes – Copilot, Claude etc.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
