Job Description

Position Purpose

The Manager, Air Partners is a strategic leadership role within the Capacity Building team, responsible for architecting and governing the airline partnership strategy for a significant market segment or region. This role drives the "Faster, Cheaper, Better" mission by designing scalable capacity frameworks, dismantling enterprise‑level silos between network design and regional airline operations, and building a high‑performing bench of air partner experts. As a "Manager of Managers," this role ensures that Teleport’s global network is anchored by world‑class airline alliances, driving long‑term unit‑cost leadership and network density.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Architect Regional Capacity Strategy: Translate Commercial business objectives into a comprehensive air partner roadmap, ensuring that airline alliances, interline agreements, and block space allocations scale ahead of Teleport’s growth curve.
• Break Enterprise‑Level Silos: Lead high‑stakes collaboration between the Group Leadership Team (GLT), Finance, and Regional Hubs to resolve systemic bottlenecks in global pricing parity, cargo capacity prioritization, and international airline compliance.
• Govern Partnership Integrity: Total accountability for the Group’s air partner standards. Ensure all regional teams strictly adhere to Teleport’s "Do Boring Better" philosophy regarding contract hygiene, rate filing precision, and partner performance reporting rigor.
• Build Elite Capacity Pipelines: Own the talent health of the Air Partners function for the assigned segment. Mentors a team of Assistant Managers and Senior Executives, fostering a culture of technical rigor, negotiation excellence, and professional persistence.
• Drive Strategic Capacity Innovation: Identify and lead breakthrough improvements in partner workflows (e.g., automated capacity forecasting, predictive utilization modeling, and digital partner onboarding tools) to maintain Teleport’s edge in network agility and unit‑cost efficiency.

• Systemic Strategy & Execution: Synthesizes complex global aviation challenges into clear, actionable capacity priorities. Ensures that long‑term partnership roadmaps are executed with high‑fidelity precision across diverse territories.

• Talent Empowerment & Mentorship: Acts as a "Manager of Managers," developing the next generation of capacity leaders by coaching sub‑managers and empowering them to lead high‑stakes airline negotiations independently.
• High‑Impact Decision Quality: Makes informed, rapid decisions regarding capacity commitments and partner trade‑offs that balance immediate network speed with long‑term financial sustainability.
• Leadership Culture: Shapes the leadership culture within the function, serving as a mentor to new capacity leaders and setting the standard for managerial excellence and technical rigor.
