Job summary

Chakiat Agencies in Navi Mumbai is seeking a senior accounting professional to head the Mumbai Branch accounting function. You will supervise the finance team, ensure timely MIS and profitability reporting, and manage cash flow through payables and receivables.

The ideal candidate holds a postgraduate degree in Finance or Accounting, with CA/ICWA considered an advantage. Strong taxation knowledge, leadership skills, and proficiency in MS Office and ERP/accounting systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Finance or Accounting from a reputed institution.
• CA/ICWA qualification is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of taxation and financial reporting.
• Experience in leadership and mentoring finance teams.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance including GST/TDs is required.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility of accounting function at Mumbai Branch (CHA Business).

Role & responsibilities

• Overall responsibility of accounting function at Mumbai Branch (CHA Business).
• Supervise and mentor the finance team to ensure accuracy and timely execution of deliverables.
• Prepare and submit MIS, job profitability, and other key financial reports in a timely basis
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable, ensuring effective cash flow management.
• Analyzing MIS reports and recommend corrective actions to improve profitability
• Ensure timely compliance with statutory obligations including GST, TDS etc
• Work closely with the Chennai finance team to ensure alignment with company-wide policies and processes.
• Collaborate with business managers to support operational and commercial efficiency

Coordinate internal and statutory audits, ensuring audit preparedness and compliance

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong accounting and taxation knowledge with operational understanding
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and build strong working relationships
• High attention to details with strong financial analytical capabilities
• Leadership qualities and ability to manage a team effectively
