Job summary

JobItUs seeks a Manager – Accounts based in Malad, Mumbai to lead accounting and financial reporting for an MNC in theChemical sector. The candidate should be a CA with 6-8 years of experience in accounting and statutory reporting, and be adept at Ind AS/IFRS standards.

You will oversee standalone and consolidated financial statements, ensure timely audits, and drive process improvements with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• CA qualification and 6-8 years of experience in accounts.

• Proficient in Excel and financial modelling.

Responsibilities

Position: Manager – Accounts

Location: Malad -Mumbai

Experience: 6 - 8 Years

Responsibilities:

• Prepare Standalone and Consolidated Financial Statements (including accounting policies, notes to accounts, and disclosures) for multiple entities (Ind AS) on a quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly basis in compliance with SEBI LODR and the Companies Act.
• Complete end-to-end periodic business valuation and obtain sign-offs – update cash flow projections based on the business plan, update the latest financials, conduct sensitivity analysis, validate assumptions proposed by the valuer, and obtain sign-off from auditors.
• Prepare accounting memos on complex accounting issues along with their impact on the financial statements as per Ind AS standards.
• Develop notes on accounting treatment for new business transactions and engage with stakeholders.
• Assess the impact of changes in Ind AS, the Companies Act, and SEBI LODR on the company, and develop plans to proactively implement necessary changes in accounting policies and processes.
• Ensure timely completion of statutory audits (local and global).
• Ensure month-end closing activities are completed as per the closing calendar.
• Deliver ad hoc MIS/reporting/compliance assignments, e.g., annual reports, Board presentations, etc.
• Closely work with local and global teams to deliver cross-functional projects or perform other duties as assigned or required.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, work on automating manual processes, and ensure continuous improvement.
