Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Delhi seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to supervise the accounting team, ensuring timely month-end close, accurate financial statements, and audit deliverables.

Job description

About the role :

This role entails day to day management of the operating tasks of the Accounting team; including delivering on month end close, financial statements, external audit deliverables, projects and training, development and mentoring of team members

• – Sound knowledge of financial reporting procedures and policies and experience with ERP systems like NetSuite.
• – Rendering assistance to auditors in conjunction with the external audit process.
• – Manage & oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including all bookkeeping functions, month and year-end processes, treasury and budgeting.
• – GL analysis and validation of trial balance.
• – Develop & enhance financial and operational processes in line with business strategy; while ensuring adequate financial controls, discipline and statutory compliance.
• – Issue identification, escalation and resolution.
• – Implementing best in class accounting practices.
• – Ability to manage, develop and mentor in a remote and/or partial remote work environment

Required skills :

• – Experience managing, developing and mentoring a team of 3-6 people
• – Experience in US GAAP
• – Thorough understanding of accounting principles & standards
• – Experience with US Accounting standards preferred and/or IFRS
• – In-depth knowledge of accounting processes and controls
• – Analytical thinker with strong conceptual & problem solving skills

Education :

• – 5+ years of experience after CA Certification. 1 to 2 years experience in managing people.
