Job summary

Cvent seeks an experienced Chartered Accountant to lead the international accounting function, oversee general ledger and treasury, and ensure timely, accurate financial statements across entities.

You will manage monthly closures, regulatory filings, audits, and cash flow, collaborating with Marketing, Operations, IT and Finance while building a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• CA with 6+ years of experience and 2–3 years supervisory experience.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Oracle, Blackline, Concur, and Coupa is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of US-GAAP preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee finance function of international entities and General Ledger, Treasury, etc., ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Oversee monthly closure of books and monthly financial reporting.
• Ensure all statutory compliances for all entities.
• Handle Oracle responsibilities for GL Manager and FA Manager.
• Lead and monitor yearly financial audits and prepare financial statements for management and auditors.
• Manage cash flow and ensure availability of funds as required.
• Perform and report financial and accounting analysis (MIS).
• Perform and review account reconciliations and flux analysis.
• Provide effective management and leadership to the team.
• Conduct performance and development reviews of the team to ensure motivation and achievement of objectives.
• Maintain and develop inter-departmental relationships.

About the Role

• This position will be responsible for managing international entities accounting function along with daily accounting operations to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
• You will be primarily responsible for a multitude of accounting activities, including financial reporting, financial analysis, general ledger review and assisting with the daily accounting needs.
• Ensure timely preparation and review of all required regulatory filings. Advise in annual budgeting and prepare accounting reports for executive leadership.
• The ideal candidate must possess experience in oversight and execution of ongoing accounting functions, ability to work independently, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A successful candidate should be able to collaborate with key stakeholders effectively and work across functions with various teams within accounting department as well as outside of accounting, including Marketing, Operations, IT, Legal and Financial Planning & Analysis.

In This Role, You Will:

Here's What You Need:

CA with 6 + years of experience along with 2-3 years of supervisory experience

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and coordination skills are must

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Experience using ORACLE, Blackline, Concur, and Coupa is a strong plus

Knowledge of US-GAAP will be preferred

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Ability to work well in a team-oriented and deadline-driven environment

Ability to handle a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
