G R Infraprojects Limited is seeking a Senior Civil Project Manager to oversee planning, delivery, and stakeholder management for a road construction section in Karnataka. The ideal candidate will have a civil engineering degree with post-graduate highway engineering knowledge, and at least 7 years of relevant experience handling 10-30 km

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Performance – Create activity schedules, estimate resources, and manage staff per policy.
• Project Delivery – Monitor progress, ensure on-time delivery with required quality and safety.
• Stakeholder Management – Update project progress with client and consultant, resolve major hindrances.
• MIS and Reporting – Ensure documentation, timely reporting, and secure project information.
• People Management – Develop direct reportees and address grievances appropriately.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Performance – Create an activity schedule for their section team to successfully complete the specific section of the project, estimate resource requirements on a monthly basis (manpower, equipment etc.) and their allocation to the identified activities. Manage project staff according to the established policies and procedures. Ensure quality delivery by taking support of qualified consultants. Manage and facilitate subcontractors involved in the project execution. Assign and check the tasks of the subordinate technical staff. Support managers in managing material stocking, and labor in the production process.
• Project Delivery – Monitor progress of the section and identify and deviations from schedule. Ensure deliverables are on time and at the required level of quality and safety. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and standard GRIL procedures. Review the project schedule with the concerned authorities and the senior management through an RFI and daily progress. Raise the requisition for the material requirement periodically.
• Stakeholder Management – Provide regular updates to In-charge of the project progress and request support for resolving major issues creating hindrance in project execution. Handle conversations with the client and consultant for updates on the on-ground execution. Facilitate necessary inputs to the team members to ensure smooth execution.
• MIS and Reporting – Resolve any issues related to specific section and ensure accurate and timely reporting. Ensure all project information is properly documented and secured. Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders, including senior management, on the progress of the project.
• People Management – Facilitate development of direct reportees to ensure smooth delivery of the project and handle employee grievances in the appropriate manner.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

• Graduate in (B.E./ B.Tech) Civil Engineering, preferably Post Graduation in Highway engineering.
