Job summary

Bank of America in India is seeking a Product Owner Assistant to support the Enterprise Independent Testing platform management and operations. You will work with platform technology and testing partners during offshore hours and assist product owners in multiple ways.

This role applies technical and business knowledge to identify, research, analyze and resolve complex problems, with responsibilities across agile ceremonies, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

  • Graduates or Post-Graduates in Computer Science, Software Engineering.
  • Graduates/Post Graduates in other disciplines with established experience in Business Analysis.
  • 6-8 years of experience in software end-user support and/or business analysis support and/or software testing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the functionality and capabilities of one or more platforms.
  • Provide platform enhancement demos to UAT testers.
  • Act as liaison between product owner team and UAT testers.
  • Perform integration testing to validate issue resolution and new enhancements.

Process Overview*

Global Risk Analytics (GRA) and Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT) are sub-lines of business within Global Risk Management (GRM). Collectively, they are responsible for developing a consistent and coherent set of models, analytical tools, and tests for effective risk and capital measurement, management and reporting across Bank of America. GRA and EIT partner with the Lines of Business and Enterprise functions to ensure the capabilities it builds address both internal and regulatory requirements, and are responsive to the changing nature of portfolios, economic conditions, and emerging risks. In executing its activities, GRA and EIT drive innovation, process improvement and automation.

The Infrastructure & Application Management (IAM) team within EIT is responsible for managing the organization’s platform infrastructure. The team defines and executes the technology roadmap in alignment with the target state vision, addresses critical technology pain points, establishes remediation plans, and oversees the end-to-end infrastructure testing framework.

Job Description

Product Owner Assistant role conducts a variety of tasks in support of the Enterprise Independent Testing team’s platform management and operation.

Key responsibilities include acting on behalf of the Product Owner in interactions with the platform technology and testing partners during offshore hours and assisting the product owners in a variety of ways.

This role applies technical and business knowledge to identify, research, analyze and resolve complex problems. May sometimes participate in design, development and implementation of enhancements to our technologies and/or processes. Works under supervision on special projects requiring creative solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the functionality and capabilities of one or more platforms
  • Provide platform enhancement demos to UAT (User Acceptance Testing) testers
  • Act and coordinator and liaison between product owner team and UAT testers
  • Provide guidance and instruction to technology partners and UAT testers
  • Perform Integration testing to validate the accuracy of issue resolution and new enhancements in support of the UAT testing team, as needed
  • Perform routine and ad hoc operational tasks on the platform
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies
  • Perform business analyst functions, including authoring Agile stories
  • Define and document platform processes
  • Author and maintain Quick Reference Guides and other instructional material
  • Manage end‑user communication
  • Manage small projects, including the coordination of other resources

Requirements
Education*

Graduates or Post-Graduates in Computer Science, Software Engineering

B.Tech/B.E./M.C.A/

OR

Graduates/Post Graduates in other disciplines with established experience in Business Analysis

Experience Range*
