Job summary

DIFGEN PHARMACEUTICALS PRIVATE LIMITED in Hyderabad, Telangana is seeking a general maintenance mechanic to perform routine preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment under supervision.

The role requires basic electrical and mechanical skills, ability to read schematics, and adherence to safety policies; prior manufacturing experience and a valid driver’s license preferred. You will work as part of a team to ensure reliable operations and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hands-on or vocational training preferred.
• Knowledge of cGMP/FDA regulatory requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and manuals.
• Basic electrical and mechanical control concepts.

Responsibilities

• Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and state, federal, and local laws.
• Performs preventative maintenance on all minor and major equipment related to facilities.
• Troubleshoots and repairs facilities, equipment, and systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic).
• Performs basic building and equipment repairs using hand tools, power tools and basic electrical multi-meter skills.
• Assembles basic components from supplied instructions or drawings.
• Performs basic maintenance of non-critical equipment including lubrication and part replacement.
• Picks up ordered parts or supplies and restocks as needed.
• Works as part of a team to achieve outcomes and comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Operates in line with Code of Conduct and company policies.

Job Summary

Under close supervision, performs limited or routine preventive maintenance duties and repairs of facilities, equipment and systems as assigned, and assists skilled technicians in performing maintenance duties.

Job Responsibilities

• Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and state, federal, and local laws.
• Performs preventative maintenance on all minor and major pieces of equipment related to facilities.
• Troubleshoots and repairs facilities, equipment, and/or systems, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic circuits. ( Motors, pumps, compressors, boilers, chillers, and water system).
• Performs basic building and equipment repairs using hand tools, power tools and basic electric multi-meter skills.
• Assembles basic components from supplied instructions or drawings.
• Performs basic maintenance of non-critical equipment including basic lubrication, utilizing oil or grease, and plumbing and replacing mechanical parts with supplied original manufactured parts.
• Performs basic repairs of a mechanical or electrical nature with manufactured or other supplied parts.
• Picks-up ordered parts or supplies and restocks parts or supplies.
• Works as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes;
• Complies with all Equipment, safety and OSHA rules and regulations, and all Company policies and procedures.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent, and prefer hands-on or vocational school training

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory requirements.
• Facility and equipment operations and maintenance practices.
• Standard Operating Procedures for equipment operations including safety rules and regulations.
• Basic electrical and mechanical control and/or operating systems.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic mathematics.
• Complying with all Company policies and procedures.
• Following all Company safety rules and regulations, recognizing hazards and taking appropriate corrective actions.
• Analyzing and troubleshooting minor problems with equipment, identifying solutions, recommending and implementing methods, procedures and techniques for resolution.
• Performing preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment and operating systems.
• Performing repair techniques including cutting, drilling, gluing, caulking, fastening of plastic, woo and milled steel.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
• Reading and interpreting schematics.
• Operating a personal computer.
• Understanding and following written and oral instructions.
• Reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Communicating clearly, concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with individuals contacted in the course of work.

Experience

• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a general maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving history.
